About Us
Who We Are
We are a group of volunteers from across the course of the river, all sharing a love of the Stour. The group started following the completion of the Dudley School for Climate Justice programme, a Lottery-funded project that aims to connect people with nature through co-created initiatives.

What, how and when?
At the moment we're meeting online for planning, and then make arrangement once every couple of months to meet up on the river to walk a mile or two, collect some survey information, and share insight into the nature, wildlife and history of the area we're walking
How it started...
It all started with the idea of running the 30 mile length of the River Stour to raise some funds for the local Wildlife Trust. After a year of reconnaissance missions a route was finally put together and in August 2023 a group of nine ran the inaugural "Stour Ultra"
